Over the past three decades, Doug's career has spanned diverse industries. In the last 20 years, he shifted focus to the nuclear field, founding DB2 Consulting Inc. in 2015. Doug's expertise covers global heavy water reactor and PWR markets, with a keen interest in emerging small modular reactors.
An active contributor to the nuclear industry, Doug has been on the OCNI Board of Directors since 2007, serving as Treasurer on the OCNI Executive committee and later as Board Chair. His involvement extends to organizing industry events, where he served as the Plenary Committee Chair for the CNS Annual Conference in Saskatoon and the Sponsorship & Exhibit Committee Chair for the Pacific Basin Nuclear Conference in 2014 in Vancouver.
Previously, Doug spent over a decade as a senior manager with Cameco Fuel Manufacturing, expanding the customer base and establishing key relationships, especially with Cameco's Chinese customers. Today, Doug continues to make a global impact, collaborating with nuclear customers worldwide through DB2, positioning him as a trusted leader in the nuclear consulting landscape.

Glen Crawford, BEng.

Director, General

Glen brings over 35 years of nuclear industry expertise to the DB2 team. His specialization lies in major equipment management, optimization of process systems, and the development of innovative solutions for nuclear waste management in plants and facilities. Glen's background in mechanical engineering complements his nuclear proficiency, resulting in a dynamic skill set that significantly elevates nuclear safety and operational efficiency.
Glen also holds a proven track record in both domestic and international marketing. His contributions to industry and government organizations have not only earned him recognition but positioned him as a key influencer in regulatory matters. With Glen on board, the DB2 team gains a seasoned professional who not only brings unparalleled expertise but also a commitment to advancing the standards and practices within the nuclear sector.

Ala Alizadeh, PhD, P Eng. 

Executive Advisor

Ala brings over 35 years of expertise in nuclear power design, construction, and project development to the DB2 team. With an advanced background in civil and construction engineering, he played a pivotal role in the development, marketing, and implementation of CANDU reactors and services across Canada, Europe, Asia, and South America.
During his tenure with Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL) and SNC-Lavalin Nuclear, Ala not only contributed to but significantly influenced senior leadership teams and boards, shaping the strategic direction of CANDU technology and its global markets. His commitment extended through the privatization of the CANDU business unit and the transformation of Canadian Nuclear Laboratories into a contractor-managed model. Ala's impactful journey reflects a wealth of experience and leadership in navigating the intricate landscape of nuclear power.

Ajit Duggal, BEng, BSc, P Eng.

Director, Cost Engineering Services

With a career spanning the nuclear, IT, power and energy industries, Ajit brings over 35 years of experience to the DB2 team. In addition to founding 4A Power Consulting in 2009, Ajit collaborates with DB2 on various projects globally. His diverse career includes overseeing IT projects for government organizations, strategic analysis at Westinghouse Electric Company and project consulting at Accenture. He is also a former Business Development Director with AMEC NSS. 
Ajit made significant contributions to AECL in his roles including Chief Cost Estimator, Director of Cost Engineering, Chairman of the Supply Strategy Working Group and more where his leadership resulted in sales exceeding $1.5 billion. Ajit's experience spans equipment/system engineering, safety, licensing, and beyond. His multifaceted skillset significantly contributes to DB2's capabilities in nuclear consulting and project management.
